The companies Inovafil, FLM Têxtil, TMG Textiles, Bordados Oliveira, Pafil and Têxteis Penedo were the big winners of the latest edition of the iTechStyle Awards, presented on the first day of the iTechStyle Summit. Among the contenders for the innovation awards were 69 fabrics, 40 finished products and 82 accessories on display at the iTechStyle Showcase.
In the best product category, two winners stood out:
ImpacTex from TMG Textiles, co-funded by COMPETE 2020, which integrates textile materials into protective equipment for motorcyclists, offering expansion and impact absorption properties.
Prothese Swimsuit by FLM Textiles, a swimsuit adapted for post-mastectomy.
In the best fabric category, Inovafil won the prize with Terramori, an article made up of 90 per cent organic cotton and 10 per cent Portuguese silk, developed in collaboration with a national silk producer.
In accessories, Bordados Oliveira won with Multicolour 3D Square Print.
