AISupply is redefining supply chain management in the Portuguese retail sector.

The AISupply project is redefining supply chain management in the Portuguese retail sector. Through the application of advanced Artificial Intelligence models, this operation focuses on smarter, more agile and sustainable logistics, in line with the challenges of an increasingly dynamic and digital market.
A system that learns and adapts
Developed in collaboration between KSR Retail Consult and the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), through the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science (LIACC), AISupply combines cutting-edge scientific knowledge with practical retail experience.
“This partnership aims to develop an intelligent supply chain forecasting and planning system, using advanced Deep Learning and Graph Analysis models, capable of learning complex patterns and automatically adapting to market variations,” explains Luís Paulo Reis, Scientific Coordinator of the project.
Based on time series models and knowledge graphs, the system can predict demand, optimise stocks and anticipate shortages, ensuring rapid responses to promotions, new products or changes in consumer behaviour.
Innovation at the service of efficiency
The project stands out for its integration of multiple technologies, including Transformers, CNN-LSTM, TimesNet, DeepAR and Prophet, combined with real industry data. This approach allows for more accurate forecasts and a strategic view of the relationships between products and consumption patterns.
“The support of COMPETE 2030 has been instrumental in consolidating this link between science and industry, providing the necessary means to transform research results into value-added technological solutions,” emphasises Luís Paulo Reis.
An example of knowledge transfer
AISupply – Retail using Artificial Intelligence-based technology strengthens the competitiveness of Portuguese companies, transforming research into applied innovation.
“Thanks to this support and the strong collaboration between KSR Retail Consult and FEUP, AISupply stands out as an example of excellence in knowledge transfer and the application of Artificial Intelligence to modern supply chain management,” concludes the manager.
With the support of COMPETE 2030, AISupply is positioning itself as a national benchmark in the use of Artificial Intelligence to increase the efficiency, sustainability and agility of retail companies — driving a more competitive and intelligent future for the sector.
